MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Coptis teeta is a small, stem less herb with golden yellow, horizontal and perennial rootstocks. Leaves are glabrous and ternatisect, leaflets 5.0-7.5 cm long, ovate-lance late and pinnatifid and their lobes are incised. Flowers are small, white and 1-3 pedicel led in slender leafless scapes, Follicles, the fruits are many seeded.
The roots of the plant are used stomashicn and tonic and these are used efficaciously in debility, atonic, dyspepsia and mild form of intermittent fevers.
