MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Robust erect epiphytic herb. Stem woody, up to 50 cm. Leaves in 4 to 8 pairs, up to 20 cm, fleshy. Inflorescences from the leaf axils. Flowers fleshy, 2 cm across, sweetly scented, creamy yellow with red-brown spots; lip white.
Plant Credited with ant typhoid properties; paste of leaves applied to fractures. Plant bitter tonic, used in rheumatism.
