In its second year, the stored nutrients are used to produce a flower spike 1 to 2 metres (3–7 ft) tall bearing numerous yellow flowers.
The Flower bud of Couliflower is used itching, skin diseases, Rheumatoid arthritis, worm infestation, diarrhea, cough, asthma, fever, bacterial infections, hemorrhoids, and gouty arthritis. Flower bud is commonly used as a vegetable.
