Akkikaruka അക്കിക്കറുക

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Akkikaruka is bushy and woody at base. Leaves are alternate and petiolated. The roots are of finger thickness and dry roots have spots. The solitary flower, head stalked with involucre, ligulate and tubular florets.
The dry roots are stimulant, pungent, rubefacient and used in the treatment of tooth decay, month ulcers, heart tonic, cough and fever.
